This is a blog that follows the activities and adventures of Shannon Murphy and Sarah Neighbor, as they navigate college, Santa Cruz, and the Ambassador Apartments. This is our first apartment and our first blog. Some of our hobbies include watching TV, frequenting Costco, jigsaw puzzles, miscellaneous discussions, wearing pajamas, spending hours on the computer, complaining and other inconsequential activities. In fact, we’re already bored with this.

Just found out the Long Marine Lab is open free for students. It’s a pretty neat place. Lauren was down there interviewing for a job to take care of banana slugs.
They also have 2 dolphins, elephant seals and whale skeletons.
Saw this box down by the recycling at The Ambassador apartments this morning…and am a little confused by the previous contents.
Here’s just a small taste of what our Christmas in July party looked like. It was a jolly good time :)
Here’s an oldie but a goodie from the night we turned on the furnace. It was also the night we had Chinese food take-out and started practicing our version of “The Mysterious Ticking Noise” by the Potter Puppet Pals. On top of all that, one of us—without mentioning names— tried to look like Billy (the dead guy) from Hocus Pocus.
Being such amazing party planners can be sooo exhausting sometimes. Better pencil in a nap tomorrow.
Found this hideous sweater at a Gottchalks liquidation sale (80% off plus an extra 30%) and it inspired our “Christmas in July” party. The party will include caroling, gift exchange, egg nog and all your favorite Christmas traditions, including a midnight screening of Muppet’s Christmas Carol. Ugly Christmas attire and your Christmas spirit mandatory!
Just another Friday night at the Ambassador Apartments.
We couldn’t figure out how to make The Ambassadors into a multi-member blog, so we made a new one: Doorway Discussions, named after the many wasted hours spent in our bedroom doorways discussing mostly pointless things.
So, we each made our own individual blogs in order to contribute to Doorway Discussions. That brings the blog count up to 4.
But don’t worry, The Ambassadors aren’t going anywhere! So don’t fret all 4 of you that have seen it!
